I saw this one on the truck in front of our practice space in Georgetown. The person bird. Reminds me of this sculpture some friends of my parents in Texas had in their house when I was younger.
We are going to Portland this weekend. We leave soon. I am looking forward to the relaxation of being out of town. Even if it is only for a little while. My wife and her friends are going river rafting. I will cruise around town while they do that.

employee's at Guitar Center

So, I'm a little fuckin pissed. I decided to sell one of my expensive guitar effects to buy another expensive guitar effect. Selling it was no problem, list on craigslist, wait few days, field emails from interested parties, show unit to prospective buyer and count cash as he leaves our condo. Then on last Saturday I call Guitar Center to see if they have what I want in stock. I would have just bought online, but no one seemed to have the unit available in stock and the last piece of gear I bought special order took forever to arrive. When I talked to the first employee of Guitar Center they said they didn't have it, but I could pay for it, plus a shipping cost and get it in a few days. I thought I shouldn't have to pay for shipping, since if I ordered off their website I could get free shipping, so he said they could do it without shipping and I wouldn't have to pay upfront. I gave him my phone number and he said he would call when it got in. A couple of hours later another employee called to tell me I could order the effects unit from him and it would be in Tuesday or Wednesday. I thought it was a little weird, but I played along. Tuesday I called to ask if it had arrived and when no one in the accessories dept. would talk to me another employee said no one had ordered it and did I know who I spoke too on the weekend. I didn't. Long story and I still don't have the very expensive effects unit. I dislike Guitar Center, they never help me when I need it and always try to sell me things I don't need. I think after this I will only shop online.

look out for the iphone

So as I was looking for interesting stories I saw this on the strangers slog. People seems to be going wacko for the iphone, which really is just a phone with an ipod nano inside it, and a real cool touchscreen interface, that cost more than I want to spend for a phone or an ipod or a real cool touchscreen. I think evryone should calm down, its just a phone, I say as I scan the page at Guitar Center with the new filter pedal I want. Its all I have been able to think about for days, I should get over it too. But I won't, and neither will the myriads of people chomping at the bit waiting to buy the iphone. Stores are hiring temps to sell the little gadgets as fast as they can. Its crazy!!!

Apple is giving tours of the iphone here. I haven't watched it yet. I probably will soon, but I won't buy one, my wife might though.

more ntg from capitol hill

We found these the other day around Capitol Hill. I'm not sure if it is all NTG work, but it still looks cool.




It seems like the graffiti stickers are getting some more attention. I saw two posts in the Stranger's Slog about Seattle street art. It also had a link to a flickr page with Seattle Street art.

More NTG in Fremont

Looks like the wolf is the favorite lately. We also saw a new owl. Both were on our way to the Fremont Street fair. Later we saw some others that I will post tomorrow.

New NTG under the West Seattle Bridge

So I took the upper bridge route to work most of the week. Today after breakfast at Skylark , where I had the most delicious Strawberry Banana Pancakes, I took the lower bridge to take my wife to work. We noticed some new NTG work. When I got back home I took some photos. I'm sure everyone has seen them already, but I will put them up anyway.
My wife saw one on the side of the Comet Tavern. I will take a picture tonight when I pick her up.
