Giannoni's

So my wife and I finally made it to the new pizza place in Westwood Village called Giannoni's. Now anyone who knows my wife, knows she is old school east coast and hasn't really ever found a pizza place that filled the hole left when she moved out here. It might be a little soon to say , but the search may be over. Giannoni's was by far the best East Coast style pizza we have had ever in Seattle. Now don't get me wrong, there are some good pizza places, Tutta Bella, Pegasus, Northlake to name a few, as well as some straight up Italian restaurants that have pizza that is good also. But for a just straight ahead pizza, salad, soda joint, Giannoni's beats out everything else in Seattle. Pagliacci's has been on my bad side for years and I am happy to say I don't think we will be eating it any time in the near future.

Do yourself a favor and give it a try, you will regret it if you don't.

Just in case anyone out there doubts my authenticity after reading my husband's putting Pegasus and Northlake in the "good pizza" category. As my East Coast relatives say about Pegasus, "It's tasty, but it's not Pizza!!" He's West Coast and he like the deep dish, only after 17 yrs have I given in. But now that we've discovered Giannoni's I'll be giving in a lot less!

Word. We must go there! I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to this trip. In the meantime, you know where the real "slice" is... Brooklyn Baby!

i would have to say it WAS the best pizza out here in west seattle when it first opened, but someone got lazy, cause the quality has gone down....biggtime! we even gave it a couple of chances after getting some bad pizza's, the last one we had, there was no sauce and it was burnt! then we got another one and it was burnt....not very friendly people either....the owners need to get back in there, cause we won't be going back!
